It’s that time of year again. The days are starting to get shorter, the pumpkin spice is getting spicier and the 2020 presidential candidates are getting more and more desperate for me to help them meet their quarterly fundraising goals. I’ll admit, I brought some of this on myself. I played the field early on, giving my number to any candidate that I thought would treat me right and save democracy. At the time though I didn’t realize just how committed these candidates were to reaching out to voters and (more importantly) reaching fundraising goals. But now the texts are getting increasingly more personal. And desperate.
With the primary elections getting closer every day, I’mm still not sure which candidate I will put my faith in. I do know though that a surefire way to lose my support is to double text.
