Four Songs to Listen To This Thanksgiving That Definitely Aren’t Just Adam Sandler’s Thanksgiving Song

Thanksgiving. What a weird holiday. Thousands of families gorging themselves with pies and potatoes, a famous parade with oversized balloons, and a largely ignored history of genocide. How about some tunes to play in the background, hm? To perhaps lighten the mood a bit? I know Thanksgiving songs are hard to come by, and that’s extremely annoying giving the insane popularity of songs of the juxtaposed Halloween and Christmas. I did the work for ya, and found four great tracks to listen to this Thanksgiving. They’re definitely not just Adam Sandler’s Thanksgiving Song!

  1. “The Thanksgiving Song” by Adam Sandler
Okay, I know what I said. But I promise not all four songs on this list will be “The Thanksgiving Song” by Adam Sandler! It’s a banger, I just had to put it on the list. This jam is guaranteed to get your relatives dancing to the beat and ready to eat.
  2. “Song Thanksgiving The” by Sandler Adam
This relatively unknown tune is reminiscent of “The Thanksgiving Song” by Adam Sandler, and is intriguing due to its lack of typical song structure. The musician, Sandler Adam, experiments with form by beginning with the final verse and working through the song in reverse order, moving through the bridge, the chorus, etc., and ending with what would normally be the first verse of a song. This will definitely get everyone at your Thanksgiving gathering debating what constitutes music, and if there are any conventions that musicians must stick to in order to create successful tunes.

Alright, I’ll admit it: this one sounds a lot like “The Thanksgiving Song” by Adam Sandler. But it’s just a small sliver of “The Thanksgiving Song” by Adam Sandler, specifically the portion of the live-cut version of the song when a woman from the audience shouts that she loves Adam, and Adam says “oh, I love you!” Play this at your Thanksgiving if you want to spread the love to your family members, and remember that despite any silly fighting that’s occurring amongst your relatives, all we have in the end is family.
