Being part of a Secret Santa gift exchange is one of my favorite holiday traditions. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than giving and receiving? Personally, I like to be part of no fewer than three Secret Santa exchanges. But the one flaw in a festive-fueled gift buying spree in the name of spreading holiday cheer to those far and near? Realizing you need to buy a gift for someone you barely know.
Oh, you’re paired with Sally? Great! Maybe you guys have gotten lunch at the Ratty a couple times or are part of the same friend group but aren’t super close. Perhaps a teammate who you don’t know very well yet…
Maybe you were confident because all Secret Santa participants were supposed to write in a google doc with ideas and your person didn’t fill it out so you’re SOL? (Full disclosure: this was based on a tragic true story from high school I’m still clearly salty about.)
Nonetheless, I’ve scoured the internet to ease your fears and guilt upon realizing that you have NO idea what to get Sally.

What she did say is that she loved that you remembered when she made a reference to The Office and you said “yesss, I love The Office too!”
Pre-Med Student?
Hahahaha yes I too know what organic chemistry is and how relatable it is!!
Taking Diversity of Life and Maybe Likes Hot Drinks?

Pickle Lover?
Perfect! Remember that one time I was like “wait, I don’t really want these pickles on my spicy with” and you were like “oh, I’ll eat them!”. Remember that?
And for someone who didn’t put what they liked in the google doc and you have LITERALLY NO IDEA what to get them?
It’s not your fault. You filled out the google doc.
