“The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office told Giannulli (who goes by Olivia Jade online) that her application to trademark “Olivia Jade Beauty” could not be accepted due to poor punctuation, according to reports from Entertainment Tonight and People.
‘Proper punctuation in identifications is necessary to delineate explicitly each product or service within a list and to avoid ambiguity,” the USPTO wrote to Giannulli, according to the outlets. “Commas, semicolons, and apostrophes are the only punctuation that should be used.'”

Hey guys! It’s Olivia Jade here. Today, I am going to be applying for a patent. I have a super awesome idea for makeup kits, and I want to patent it so that everyone will know I came up with it myself. I did all of the work and I didn’t have any help from anyone and I just want the credit I deserve ya know. My mom offered to help me fund my products with her “Full House” royalties because between me and you Aunt Becky is still bringing in the big bucks and she said she would do like anything for me, but I said no. I just hate it when people don’t get what they deserve, ya know. Anyways the kits will be so amazing that they will be able to make ANYONE look pretty. And I mean anyone. The kits will include make-up setting spray lipstick and lip gloss. I am sure that you all know what I mean when I use the general word make-up. Also, the setting spray is the best. Not even a full day of yachting with USC administrators can make my make-up fade when I have this setting spray on. I would describe the awesome effects of all of my products to you, but you know a picture’s worth like a thousand words and I don’t have the time so here is a picture of me wearing them.
